| Loch Ness from Fort Augustus. The Loch is famous for being the home of the Loch Ness Monster, 'Nessie'. While the famous 'Surgeon's Photograph' was a fake, and most other sightings are probably seals, otters, deer or submerged logs, there were a few 20th Century sightings which are not so easy to dismiss. But you can generally ignore any reports of sightings in April-May as these seem to happen every year just in time for the tourist season! |
